Ideas and Inspirations

Jennie has been passionately interested in the natural world since childhood, and is an avid bird watcher. Her work is an extension of that fascination.
She spends many hours in the wilds, in study centres and zoos drawing and painting animals and birds from life. These studies are regarded as an essential and integral part of her work. After this preliminary research in the field, the drawings of the animals are worked on to produce a designfor a ceramic piece. It should be stressed that, although the work is based on life, humour plays an important part and so the work is not a study in Natural History.
